If you are arrested for criminal trespass a class A misdemeanor in Oregon whats a likely outcome?

The case involves someone crossing on the max tracks and being arrested for criminal trespass in Oregon. The Trimet website states this is punishable by a fine max of 6,500 and up to a year imprisonment. There is no prior convictions in the last six years for this individual. What is a likely outcome? Will the prosecution simply give a citation or pursue a conviction? Any expert or experience based advice is much appreciated.
